Are these the current USCIS filing fees?
These fees are from the USCIS fee schedule that took effect on April 1, 2024. USCIS updates its fees from time to time, so always confirm the current amount on the official USCIS website before you file.
Why is the online fee sometimes lower than the paper fee?
USCIS offers a small discount on some forms when you file online instead of by mail. When a lower online fee is available, it is shown next to the standard fee.
Can I get a fee waiver if I cannot afford the fee?
For many forms, you can ask USCIS to waive or reduce the fee by filing Form I-912 if your income is low or you receive certain public benefits. Not every form qualifies, so check the form instructions.
Do these fees include biometrics or other costs?
Under the 2024 fee schedule, most forms include biometrics in the base fee, but some cases have extra costs. Your total may also include a medical exam, translations, or attorney fees.
